Oxton Juniors excel at Liverpool Tournament.
Liverpool Junior Tournament – Sat 8th June 2013
On a baking hot sunny Sat in June, Oxton fielded 4 junior teams at the Liverpool Summer Invitational Tournament, held at Liverpool University Sports Ground. The teams included U12 girls and boys and U14 girls and boys.
Despite the challenging conditions, which tested everyone’s stamina, there was an excellent display of hockey played across all levels. It was a real joy to watch the next generation in action in what turned out to be a very successful day for Oxton. U14 girls were runners up in their group only narrowly missing out on joint lead, fighting back from 4-1 down at half time to finish at 4-3 in their final match. U12 boys were also runners up in their group while the U12 girls won their group convincingly as did U14 boys. Well done everyone.
