Over the summer we have reviewed our kit arrangements and after four seasons taken the decision to change our supplier.
There were a number of issues with the logistics of the ordering process and when it transpired that prices for items were due to increase by c20% to enhance the ordering process just in terms of productivity via an online shop we felt obliged to consider our options.
We are delighted to confirm that our kit will be produced by Adidas, arguably the leading kit manufacturer for hockey (including England and Great Britain teams, the latter of course featuring in this years Olympics!) and supplied by Sportsville in Greasby.
The kit will have a lifespan of a minimum of four years and members will be able to order any item at any time throughout the calendar year. This and the increased payment options offered by Sportsville will help members to budget accordingly rather than having to buy items in bulk at the start of the season under the previous arrangement.
Delivery times will also be significantly inproved with Sportsville holding some items in stock and for those not only being subject to a maximum of 3 weeks during the season (note: initial order time for playing shirts will be c5 weeks whilst the item filters through the ordering system, this is still superior to the 10 week timescale for the previous company).
There will also be the benefit of members being able to call into Sportsville to try on items to make sure the right size is purchased whilst dedicated ladies fit garments are also now available.
In addition, we have taken on feedback from members with the option to add initials to non-playing items now available, along with the club name featuring on the back and a zip up hoodie also part of the range.
Last but by no means least we have listened to our goalkeepers and an official club smock will be brought out before the start of the season, Adidas are presently reviewing their current offerings.
All items will feature the recently re-designed club crest so we look forward to seeing members in their new ‘stash’ soon!
