Spond is a mobile app or can be used online. It’s got loads of useful features that Oxton use to manage the club and teams

As a guardian, you will be able to manage all of your children’s Spond invitations. You will be able to reply to events that the child has been invited to, and to receive push notifications when new information is added to the group. If the child is old enough to reply themselves, it is also possible for admin to add a contact point on the child (member) so they can respond to events etc. in the same way as the guardians.
There is no limit as to how many guardians each single child can have.
All members are required to pay membership at the start of the season.
Payment can be paid in 6 instalments if set up before 31st October, otherwise needs paying in full again by 31st October.
Goalkeepers with their own recent kit are exempt from full fees but are expected to pay the social membership fee.

Spond provides the option pay in one lump sum or to spread the cost over the season.
All players will be billed via Spond, when they participate in a match.
Members are expected to pay the following match fees the week after their match.
Drivers – match fee exemption for drivers who travel to an away match with 3 or more players in the car (the driver can be included in the 3 if they are a player).
Umpire – match fee exemption per match umpired, these will be logged and can be applied to future matches played.
Players will be selected for teams based, first and foremost, on their ability and suitability. Where there are more players available, than spaces in the squad, decisions will be made depending on a) whether the player has paid their membership and b) the ability to demonstrate commitment to the team/club – through regular attendance at training and general availability.
There may be weeks where we simply cannot offer all those that are available a game. In which case it maybe necessary to rotate players on a week-by-week basis. Please feel assured we will do our best to be fair in these circumstances.
We believe all players deserve the chance to maximise their potential and enjoy their hockey no matter their level, and a close eye will be kept on all players to ensure they are playing and training at the right level for them. If players (or parents), have issues, concerns or doubts we would urge them to speak any of the Captains, coaches or junior committee members to ensure concerns can be resolved swiftly.
We are keen to support any junior who wishes to use hockey for their Duke of Edinburgh, either as activity for those who already play, skill for those new to the sport, or if you wish to volunteer you can help out at Junior Sunday morning training.
